Witchy Work Wishes was created and launched out of necessity. I was looking for ways to bridge my own personal practice with my own personal corporate world and I struggled to find good content on how to do it. Witchcraft, often misunderstood or misrepresented, is a deeply personal spiritual practice that emphasizes connection with nature, intuition, and the metaphysical. For many modern practitioners, integrating this spiritual practice with a corporate work environment can seem challenging. It certainly was for me!
The corporate world is often viewed as a space of logic, structure, and profit-driven goals, while witchcraft embraces intuition, emotional intelligence, and personal empowerment. However, bridging the two worlds is not only possible but can foster a harmonious balance that I believe enhances both professional and personal fulfillment. One of the core tenets of witchcraft is the ability to tune into one’s intuition. In a corporate setting, decision-making is typically data-driven, with a focus on metrics and performance indicators. However, intuition, when used as a complement to data, can enhance problem-solving and innovation. Practitioners of witchcraft can leverage their spiritual awareness to make decisions that feel aligned not just with numbers but with the well-being of the team and long-term goals. Emotional intelligence is valued, it is another attribute nurtured through witchcraft practices, such as mindfulness and reflection, can improve leadership skills, conflict resolution, and the overall emotional climate in the workplace.
Incorporating simple rituals into a corporate routine can improve focus, productivity, and overall workplace satisfaction. For instance, setting intentions before meetings or projects can help create a purposeful and centered approach to work. Rituals like cleansing your workspace or working with a symbolic object can foster clarity and reduce stress. These practices do not need to be overt or visible; they can be personal moments that ground the practitioner and create mental space for creativity and productivity. Witchcraft is often attuned to natural cycles, such as the phases of the moon or the changing seasons. Integrating these cycles into a corporate work routine can enhance time management and goal setting. For example, during a waxing moon, a practitioner might focus on growth-oriented tasks such as launching new projects or cultivating partnerships, while during a waning moon, they might focus on reviewing, reflecting, and completing tasks. These natural rhythms help create a sustainable work-life balance and I think, help to prevent burnout by encouraging the practitioner to ebb and flow with nature, rather than constantly pushing forward.
Bringing elements of witchcraft into a corporate space can also promote diversity and inclusivity, encouraging employees to embrace different belief systems, values, and practices. This can be done subtly, by fostering an environment that encourages mindfulness, respect for nature, and the recognition of the importance of mental and spiritual well-being. It’s important, however, to maintain discretion, as witchcraft may not be universally understood or accepted in all workplaces. Practitioners can bridge this gap by promoting the values that witchcraft embodies compassion, balance, and community rather than overtly expressing their spiritual identity in ways that may alienate others.
This topic is important to me, and it’s why I started Witchy Work Wishes in 2022. Bridging witchcraft practice into the corporate work environment is about creating harmony between personal spiritual beliefs and professional responsibilities. Through embracing intuition, creating rituals for productivity, aligning with natural cycles, and fostering inclusivity, practitioners can bring a deeper sense of purpose and balance to their work. The integration of witchcraft into our corporate worlds can lead to more mindful leadership, holistic decision-making, and a more compassionate work culture, ultimately benefiting both the individual witch and the organization.

"Part of my Witchy Work-Wishes is drawing topics from my own wish list. In refining and defining my personal practice in more detail, I have been searching for ways to bring a little witchcraft into my office and work. I didn’t find a bunch of guidance on this, so out of my own needs, Witchy Work Wishes was created. Really, I wanted to document my work, and I am hopeful that if you are also looking for ways to bring a little magic into your work and job, these podcasts will help."
