Hearth & Hen

Hearth & Hen is the personal, visual side of Witchy Work Wishes.  A slower, more grounded space where we bring this energy into real life. This is where the magic meets the everyday! A Witchy Work Wishes family circle!

How it started ... 

Filmed in my backyard and home (and mostly my kitchen), Hearth & Hen followed the natural rhythm of life.  Cooking over the fire (when I could), working with seasonal ingredients, spending time with the hens and creating space to simply be present. Inside this space, I shared personal videos as they came together.  Moments that felt aligned, meaningful and worth capturing. You’ll see one of my cats, Ragnar, in many of the videos too… especially during the book readings.  Sometimes the videos look like a cozy recipe, sometimes a story reading, and sometimes just a quiet glimpse into the rhythm of my days. It was not about a strict schedule or perfectly timed content (I tried that… and just couldn’t keep up). It was about sharing what felt real.

This was where feathers meet firelight and magic grew in the soil of everyday life. Here, we gathered beneath the moon to share recipes from the hearth, stories woven with folklore and fable, and the quiet wisdom of chickens scratching in the garden. But make no mistake… this was so much more than a backyard. It was (and still is) a living grimoire! A circle of warmth and wonder where stories take root, meals are blessed with intention, and a little magic finds its way into everything we do. And in between all of that… you’ll find the small, in-between moments ... the hens (my five moon-phase silkies), my cats, a quiet glimpse of my German Shepherd before he passed in 2025, the herbs, the crackle of the fire… all the pieces that make the magic feel real.

This is the personal side of things… a space where I’m opening up my home to you.
